Greta Menard is a seasoned communications consultant with more than 25 years of marketing and public relations experience. Throughout her career, her business-to-government, business-to-business, business-to-consumer and government-to-citizen clients have ranged from start-ups to federal agencies to nonprofits. Greta’s specialties include strategic communications consulting and planning, as well as copywriting and message development.

Since 2003, Greta has managed a range of communications efforts for Concepts Communications, including several designed to advance the employment of people with disabilities. She supports a number of projects funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) such as the State Exchange on Employment and Disability, ePolicyWorks and a speechwriting, copywriting and editing project for ODEP leadership. Greta also manages the award-winning Campaign for Disability Employment and co-produced its five national public service announcements.

Greta’s experience also extends to a variety of private sector organizations and nonprofits, including VR New Hampshire, the Northeast ADA Center, the American Bankers Association and Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA).

Greta launched her public relations career in the Washington, D.C. office of Ketchum, Inc., a worldwide, top-10 PR agency. As a vice president and director of the agency’s Public Sector Marketing Group, she managed Ketchum’s IBM Software and PeopleSoft (now Oracle) accounts, actively promoting software and homeland security solutions for federal and public sector clients.

Greta earned her master of arts in public communication from American University. She also graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, receiving a bachelor of arts in communications.

A graduate of Leadership Arlington’s Class of 2007, Greta is an active member of the Arlington, Va., community. She serves on the board of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and on the advisory council of PathForward, a leading homeless services organization.  She’s also a past chair of Volunteer Arlington Day and an ABBIE (Arlington’s Best Business) Award winner. Greta served a three-year term on the Arlington Commission for the Arts and has volunteered as a business mentor for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.
