Bill is a government relations and communications professional based in the Washington, D.C. metro area who brings nearly a decade of experience in legislative affairs, strategic partnerships, grassroots advocacy, and political communications.
At Concepts Communications, Bill serves as a government relations and strategic communications consultant, primarily managing the expansion of the Clear2Connect Coalition. The Coalition’s mission is to educate federal lawmakers and relevant stakeholders about the critical importance of quality and accurate Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP CTS) and Video Relay Service (VRS), especially among our nation’s veterans. This includes managing federal advocacy efforts by engaging Congress, VA, FCC, and the White House, forming strategic partnerships, and serving as a liaison to the Coalition’s veteran service organizations (VSOs).
Throughout his career in Washington, Bill has been a staunch advocate for servicemembers, veterans, and their families. This includes Bill’s work with K9s For Warriors, the nation’s largest service dog provider for military veterans, and The Enlisted Association, a congressionally chartered VSO. Prior to working in the VSO community, Bill assisted clients in the defense industry engage federal policy makers, as well as working for several elected officials at the federal, state, and local levels of government.
Bill is currently serving in the U.S. Army National Guard and attends Drill with the 29th Infantry Division at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Intelligence Analysis from George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government, where he is now currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Public Policy.
